CAREER DAY AT MANGROVE CAY HIGH SCHOOL GIVES STUDENTS OPTIONS

MANY PROFESSIONALS TAKE PART INCLUDING: JOURNALISTS, POLICE, DEFENSE FORCE OFFICERS, ENTREPRENEURS

MANGROVE CAY, Andros: Professionals spent the day with Mangrove Cay High School students exposing the students to the many careers available from engineer to journalist to masseuse. And even though the students were excited by the show put on my the Royal Bahamas Police Force K-9 Unit, many students solidified their plans for after high school.

At the GSSSA Sr. High School Track and Field Championship, two R.M. Bailey Pacer athletes shared school spirit and sprints. After running her race, she came to the tent to return the spikes to the rightful owner.

SNOW COMES DOWN IN COLUMBIA MISSOURI

Most Schools Stay Open In The Afternoon, Some Cars Run Off The Road With No Major Accidents

COLUMBIA, MO -- The first snow of Winter 2011 has come down in Columbia, Missouri causing some disturbances but no major incidents or closures.

No school's have been closed however Columbia Public School's preschools have cancelled afternoon classes.   

KOMU has been reporting several accidents and backups across the city. One of the major highways through the city was covered in black ice and some car have spun out.  Some cars on Old Highway 63S have lost control but did not crash. 

Also some students at The University of Missouri have reported full classrooms but some professors have been selectively cancelling classes.
