Apparently 3 men were involved in a robbery attempt at Atlantis in an employee only area. Police say they arrested the men after they entered the cashiers cage and attempted to steal money after spraying what many think is pepper spray. Security officers and locked down the area and the men were arrested. Atlantis says 16 people were taken to hospital after being exposed to the noxious substance--which many are saying was pepper spray.

FROM The RBDF: Three (3) men are in police custody following an attempted stealing at the cashiers cage of Atlantis, Paradise Island. Initial reports indicate that around mid-day on Sunday 23rd September, 2012 the men ages 24, 30 and 31 years, entered the cashiers cage and attempted to steal monies after spraying a noxious substance. Quick response by security o
fficers of Atlantis resulted in the area being locked down and all suspects arrested. Following the arrest, police conducted a search and discovered in the ceiling of the establishment a bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash, believed to be the property of Atlantis. Police have mounted and intensive investigation into this matter. Active police investigations continue.
